Welcome in Prague : Travel Guide

Prague, beautiful Prague! I'll never stop loving this city, it stole my heart. Okay, maybe everybody says that, but it is true. And because I'm quite often staying there, I'd like to introduce you this city a bit...

So, Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It's located in in the north-west of the country with 1 280 000 people living there. Prague is the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.

• Getting there : You can travel to Prague by car - about 3 to 4 hours from the east side of the Czech Republic. But also you can reach this city by train or plane, our I think the biggest airport is Václav Havel Airport Prague located about 12 km west of the centre of Prague.

• What to see : 

1. The most famous sights

I'd recommend to start with the Prague Castle, the biggest ancient castle in the world, dating from the 9th century ! I visited the castle four times in my life, the last time was this summer and love it there, believe me it's like in some fairytale here:-).

Then there's the Charles Bridge, an historic bridge that crosses the Vltava river. It was finished in the beginning of the 15th century and was founded by King Charles IV. Beside the avenue of 30 mostly baroque statues and statuaries, you can also see there a lot of artists selling their paintings, photos or other handmade products.

Old Town Square is a historic square located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge. You can find there Prague Orloj, a medieval astronomical clock located on the Old Town Hall . It is the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still in operation!

Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares in the New Town of Prague. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. 

2. My tips for you!

Guys, when I found this I was totally excited! Welcome in the Apple Museum ! It's a unique private collection of computers from 1976 till 2012 and other Apple, Pixar and Next products. There's also a Pop Art Gallery inside, which I absolutely loved. If you're interested in the Apple, I'd recommend it to you!

Maybe you don't know, but I'm an art lover. I ALWAYS go and visit some gallery. And there I'd like to recommend you the Gallery of Art Prague which you can find on the Old Town Square. There are artists like Salvador Dalí, Alfons Mucha, Andy Warhol and even more. I visited two exhibitions, Andy Warhol and Bob Dylan's ( that one was just till the end of August I think). I really enjoyed both of them and I can't wait to see the rest of them during my next trip to Prague.

Also last year in October I visited the Signal Festival the largest cultural event in the Czech Republic! It was one of my the best moments in Prague, I LOVED it! This year's SIGNAL festival will light up Prague for the fifth time from 12 to 15 October 2017. Maybe I should see it again:-)! 

• Where to eat :

I love Café Louvre, there are many wonderful desserts and their pancakes are great! 

If you want to buy an ice cream, I think there's no better place then Angelato, It's full of italian ice creams of velvety textures. 

And if you want to eat some breakfast or just drink some wonderful tea I recommend Cacao Prague !

Plus if you are vegan or you eat raw foods, then jump into MyRaw Café !

Praha, krásná Praha! Nikdy nepřestanu toto město milovat, prostě mi doslova ukradlo srdce. Dobře, možná to říká každý, ale je to pravda. A protože v Praze jsem docela často, tak bych vám toto město chtěla trochu představit...

Takže, Praha je hlavním a největším městem České republiky. Nachází se na severozápadě země, v Praze žije 1 280 000 lidí. Praha je pátým nejnavštěvovanějším evropským městem po Londýně, Paříži, Istanbulu a Římě. 

• Cesta :

Do Prahy můžete dojet autem - asi 3 až 4 hodiny od východní části České republiky. Ale také se zde můžete dostat  vlakem nebo letadlem.  Největším letištěm je Letiště Václava Havla Praha, které se nachází asi 12 km západně od centra Prahy.

• Co vidět :

1. Nejznámější památky

Doporučuji začít s Pražským hradem, největším starým hradem na světě, který pochází z 9. století! Navštívila jsem hrad čtyřikrát v životě, naposledy  letos v létě a miluju to tam, věřte mi,  je to jako v nějaké pohádce :-).

Pak zde je Karlův most, historický most, který protíná řeku Vltavu. Byl dokončen počátkem 15. století a  založen králem Karlem IV. Vedle třiceti většinou barokních soch, můžete také vidět mnoho umělců, kteří prodávají své obrazy, fotografie nebo jiné ručně vyráběné výrobky.

Staroměstské náměstí je historické náměstí mezi Václavským náměstím a Karlovým mostem. Najdete zde Pražský orloj, středověký orloj, který se nachází na Staroměstské radnici. Je to třetí nejstarší orloj na světě a nejstarší, který je stále v provozu!

Václavské náměstí je jedním z hlavních náměstí v Novém Městě v Praze. Docházelo zde k mnoha historickým událostem a je to tradiční prostředí pro demonstrace, oslavy a další veřejná setkání.

2. Moje tipy pro vás!

Takže, když jsem toto museum našla, byla jsem naprosto nadšená! Vítejte v Apple Museum! Jedná se o jedinečnou soukromou sbírku počítačů od roku 1976 do roku 2012 a další produkty Apple, Pixar a Next. Je zde i Galerie Pop Art, kterou jsem absolutně milovala. Máte-li zájem o Apple, doporučila bych vám to!

Možná to nevíte, ale jsem milovník umění.  VŽDY navštívím nějakou galerii. A zde bych  vám ráda doporučila Galerii umění Praha, kterou najdete na Staroměstském náměstí. Jsou zde umělci jako Salvador Dalí, Alfons Mucha, Andy Warhol a ještě více. Navštívila jsem dvě výstavy, Andyho Warhola a Boba Dylana ( ta byla jen do konce srpna,  myslím). Oprvadu se mi to moc líbilo a nemohu se dočkat, až uvidím ostatní z nich během mé příští cesty do Prahy.

Také v loňském roce jsem v říjnu navštívila Signal festival největší kulturní akci v České republice! Byl to jeden z mých nejlepších okamžiků v Praze, milovala jsem to! Letošní festival SIGNAL bude v Praze od 12. do 15. října 2017. Možná bych to měla vidět znovu :-)!

• Kde se najíst :

Mám ráda Café Louvre, je tu mnoho nádherných dezertů a jejich palačinky jsou skvělé!

Pokud chcete koupit zmrzlinu, myslím, že není lepší místo než Angelato. Je plná italských zmrzlin sametových textur.

A pokud si chcete dát nějakou snídani nebo se jen napít nějakého skvělého čaje doporučuji Cacao Prague!

Plus, pokud jste vegan nebo jíte raw potraviny, pak skočte do MyRaw Café!
