July Wrap Up
Hello! I hope you're enjoying summer and also reading as many books as you can:-) I read 6 books this month from various genres ( biography, memoir, nonfiction, fiction, fantasy, retelling, young adult, romance, adult, historical fiction and so on). I also still have many books I'd like to read in August, but that's for another article. So here are the book I've read in July 2017!
1. The Bite in the Apple : A Memoir of My Life with Steve Jobs by Chrisann Brennan
I'm very curious about the life of Steve Jobs. Not just about his achievements and him as a visionary, but about him like a real person. How was he in everyday life? How did he become so successful? And why was he refusing his daughter? That's why I decided to read this book...
It was very deep. I found this book to have very interesting parts and very slow parts. I don't think it was wrong, but sometimes it hooked me and sometimes it just wasn't interesting to me very much. But still I enjoyed learning more about Steve's and Chrisann's life.
If you want some new insights into Steve Jobs the person from someone who knew him intimately and you want to know him more like a person, not like the big businessman, I'd recommend it to you.
4 stars

2. Love x Style x Life by Garance Doré
I wrote a review this month for that, you can find it in Reviews - Czech Books:-)
Publisher (CZ) : Euromedia Group : Esence
3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K.Rowling
I KNOW, I still haven't finished the HP series, but I've made a progress:-). Believe me, I LOVE HP books, the only problem is I haven't much time to read them usually ( they're very long). This book left in me sooo many feelings. Umbridge with her annoying sweet voice, Malfoy, Snape and there were so many emotions in the story! I think, I need to hug Harry, Hermione and all of them! I still can't believe how J.K.Rowling could create this world! It's just incredible...
Again I give 5 stars!

4. The Wrath & the Dawn by Renée Ahdieh
That was sooo good! And after I finished the last chapter, I was like "WHAT? WHY? I need the story to continue!"
This book is based on the story A Thousand and One Nights, the heroine is a young girl Shahrzad and she volunteers herself to marry the Caliph of Khorsan named Khalid. She wants to kill him, because he had killed her best friend, Shiva. Soon Khalid realizes that Shahrzad isn't like the other girls and Shahrzad realizes that Khalid isn't the monster everyone portrays him as, including himself.
I'm just super excited about the sequel! I don't know if I can wait for that!
Loved it, 4.7 stars!

5. Girl Online : Going Solo by Zoe Sugg
So... the last book from the trilogy by Zoe Sugg. And what I think about it? Well, Sometimes I think it was too childish, the language hinting that this was aimed at children rather than teenagers or young adults. Plus there are some obvious plot twists and some super cliche moments, for me sometimes just SO MUCH sweet.
I give it 3.3 stars. It was okay for me, but not one of the books I could think about another weeks after reading it.
Publisher (CZ) : Jota
6. Virgins : An Outlander Short Story by Diana Gabaldon
Virgins is a prequel to Outlander starring Jamie Fraser and Ian Murray. It was a strong, fascinating story about Jamie before Claire. This story is worth a read from fans of the Outlander series as well people looking for a good story. Maybe I'd like this story to be longer, but still I enjoyed it a lot!
4.3 stars!
Publisher (CZ) : Knihy Omega
P.S. You can find photos at the end of this article!
With love,
