June Wrap Up
In my first book post, I'm going to show you books, which I read in June 2017. This month was very productive for me, not just in reading, but also in my personal life and yeah, I made this blog as you can see! So I read six books, which is a really good number for me. I had more time for reading, beacuse I was ill for whole 2 weeks, it was crazy! But because of that, I read many various genres ( fantasy, young adult, contemporary, romance, retelling, adult, fiction and a mystery ), I didn't expect that. Well, my wallet is quite empty now, but that's a hard life of book lovers!
1. Heartless ( Bez Srdce ) by Marissa Meyer
I read this book in czech language and I loved it! After reading, I had so many feeling inside me. This story is a retelling of Alice in Wonderland, but it is the backstory of the Queen of Hearts. Her name is Catherine. She is a simple girl whose greatest desire is to open a bakery with her best friend Mary Ann. Cath loves baking and wants to bake the best cakes in Wonderland. But as we all know that Cath ends up as the Queen of Hearts, all you can do is just to watch her life, her choices.
"But hoping" he said, " is how impossible can be possible after all."
This journey is full of madcap characters, secret love, amazing cakes and a desire for revenge!

2. Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard
Well, I gave it 3.5 stars, because I think this story was just...average? I really liked the Queen Song, but Steel Scars disappointed me in some way. The story about Farley wasn't interesting for me at all, but I loved learning about Queen Coriane. I read it in english, there's no czech edition.

3. The Silver Linings Playbook ( Terapie láskou ) by Matthew Quick
Three words: funny, real, honest. I enjoyed every chapter! The main character is Pat Peoples, the character you will root for and love. He has been in "the Bad Place" for years and now he wants to become the best man he can. Tiffany is a compulsive liar, too suffers from a sickness, but also she's a wonderful dancer! During the story, they find a common ground and become friends.
"If clouds are blocking the sun, there will always be a silver lining that reminds me to keep on trying."
The whole book is about struggle and optimism, Pat believes in working hard for success and being kind.

4. The Silkworm ( Hedvábník ) by Robert Galbraith
I gave it 4 stars. It is the second book from the Cormoran Strike series and believe me, it was much better than the first one. The first book had far too many characters to keep track of and another difference was the plot itself, which drew me to the story. Galbraith also allows time to develop the characters of Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott.
"We don't love each other; we love the idea we have of each other. Very few humans understand this or can bear to contemplate it. They have blind faith in their own powers of creation. All love, ultimately, is self-love."
As a detective story I absolutely recommend it!

5. Love & Gelato ( Láska & Gelato ) by Jenna Evans Welch
Now, one sentence: The book you need to read in summer season. Cute, heartbreaking and just sweet like a gelato!
"You know, people come to Italy for all sorts of reasons, but when they sat, it's for the same two things." "What?" "Love and gelato."
In this story, you'll discover the beauty of Italy, some famous sights and of course, pizza and gelato ! For me it was a typical perfect summer YA book, by the way I highly recommend to take it with you on a holiday, it'll give you the perfect summer vibes !

6. The Kiss of Deception ( Falešný polibek ) by Mary E. Pearson
I'm just finishing this book, but I can tell you that I absolutely enjoyed it ! And the plot twist will surpise you, so if you need a book with romance, good characters, surprises and a bit of humor, then go for it!

V mém prvním knižním článku vám ukážu knihy, které jsem přečetla v červnu 2017. Tento měsíc byl pro mě velmi produktivní, nejen ve čtení, ale také v osobním životě a ano, založila jsem svůj blog ! Takže, přečetla jsem tento měsíc šest knih, což je pro mne doopravdy dobrý počet. Měla jsem více času na čtení, jelikož jsem onemocněla na celé dva týdny, bylo to šílené! Ale díky tomu jse mi podařilo přečíst spoustu různých žánrů ( fantasy, YA, contemporary, romance, retelling, adult, fikce a detektivní ), nečekala jsem to. No, má peněženka je ted' docela prázdná, ale to je těžký život milovníků knih!
1. Heartless ( Bez Srdce ) od Marissa Meyer
Četla jsem tuto knihu v českém jazyce a milovala jsem to! Po přečtení ve mne bylo tolik pocitů. Příběh je "převyprávění" Alenky v říši divů, ale týká se pouze Srdcové královny. Její jméno je Catherine. Je to "obyčejná" dívka, jejíž největší touha je otevřít si pekařství s její nejlepší kamarádkou Mary Ann. Cath miluje pečení a chce péct ty nejlepší dorty v celé říši divů. Ale jak všichni víme, Cath skončí jako Srdcová královna a jediné, co můžete dělat je sledovat její život, její volby.

Toto dobrodružství je plné šílených postav, tajné lásky, úžasných dortů a touze po odplatě!

Moje hodnocení je 3.5 z pěti hvězd, jelikož si myslím, že příběh byl...průměrný? Velmi se mi líbila část s názvem "Queen Song", ale "Steel Scars" mě v něčem zmátl. Příběh o Farley pro mne nebyl tak zajímavý, ale moc ráda jsem se něco dozvěděla o královně Coriane. Knihu jsem četla v angličtine, protože zatím nebyla vydána v češtině.

Tři slova : zábavné, opravdové, upřímné. Bavila mne každá kapitola! Hlavní postava je Pat peoples, budete za něj kopat a milovat ho. Byl v léčebně několik let a nyní se chce stát tím nejlepším mužem, jaký jen může být. Tiffany je lhářka, také trpící psychickou nemocí, ale také je úžasná tanečnice! Během příběhu společně najdou společnou řeč a stanou se přáteli.

Celá kniha je hlavně o boji a optimismu, Pat věří v tvrdou práci pro úspěch a chce být hodným člověkem.

Zhodnoceno na čtyři hvězdy. Je to druhá kniha ze série o detektivu Cormoranu Strikovi a věřte mi, že byla mnohem lepší než ta první. První kniha měla nadmíru postav na to, abyste s ní udrželi tempo a další rozdíl je samotná zápletka, která mne dostala do děje. Galbraith také dává možnost rozvinutí postav Cormorana Strika a Robin Ellacottové.

Jako detektivní příběh rozhodně doporučuji!

Nyní jedna věta : Kniha, kterou potřebujete přečíst v létě. Roztomilá, srdcervoucí a prostě jen sladká jako gelato!

V tomto příběhu objevíte krásu Itálie, některé slavné památky a samozřejmě pizzu a gelato! Pro mě to byla typická perfektní YA letní kniha, mimochodem velice doporučuji vzít si ji s sebou na dovolenou, dá vám dokonalou letní náladu!

6. The Kiss of Deception ( Falešný polibek ) od Mary E. Pearson
Knihu zrovna dokončuji, ale můžu vám říct, že jsem si ji doopravdy užila! A zápletka vás překvapí, takže jestli hledáte knihu s romancí, dobrými postavami, překvapeními a trochou humoru, potom běžte pro ni!
